Why outsource our shredding?
Three reasons:
First, simply, it saves you money. If you calculate the price of a typical office shredder ($70-$5000) with the price of labor, Green Shredding easily costs less.
Second, outsourcing shredding is more secure. Shredding with an office shredder is time consuming and, frankly, boring. Even the most conscientious employees sometimes would rather throw away sensitive documents than spend the time shredding. With an outsourced shredding company shredding is convenient, quick, and effortless.
Third... image. Your company appears much more professional when you employ Green Shredding. When a customer asks you about your internal security procedures and you response includes Green Shredding, your answer is more credible.

Why should we use Green Shredding instead of a different shredding company?
SAVE GREEN! It's an exclamation that truly encompasses what we do. The meaning is twofold... you save money while choosing an earth friendly alternative for document destruction. You truly save green. We have surveyed shredding prices in the downtown area and have set our rates lower. If another shredding company undercuts our prices, we will simply beat their price every time. Along with this low price guarantee, we use only ZEV (zero emission vehicle) electric trucks for all of our pickups, we recycle all of the shredded paper, designed the shredding warehouse from the ground up to use as little electricity as possible, and we offer a reuse program by providing all shredding byproducts (boxes, file clips, 3-ring binders, etc...) free to the general public. Green Shredding is different than the others and better.

Where do you service?
If your zip code is 91950, 92101, 92102, 92103, 92104, 92105, 92110, 92113, 92114, 92136, 92139, or 92140 we most likely provide bin service and pickup service for you. Green Shredding does not provide service to all areas of San Diego because our ZEVs are not licensed to travel on streets with speed limits over 35 mph and only have a range of 35 miles per day. But our sister company, San Diego Shredders (www.sdshred.com or 619.813.8137) provides service for all of San Diego County.

Do you have a drop off service?
Yes. Our customer friendly shredding warehouse is available for drop off shredding from 9am - 4pm Monday through Friday and by appointment on the weekends. Please call in advance to insure we are at the warehouse ready for you. If you want to shred on the weekend, please call on Friday for an appointment. The cost is $5 per file box (12"x15"x10") with a $20 minimum. Or if you don't have file boxes, we have a scale on premises and the rate is $0.20/lb with $20 minimum priced in $5 increments rounded up. We also have a great reuse program where you can pick up reusable boxes, binder clips, and 3-ring binders free of charge.

Yes! Green Shredding provides a brand new and better alternative to onsite shredding. OnSkype Shredding is the answer. Please click on the link to find out more about this process. You can also schedule an appointment to watch the shredding live and in person.
What we have found concerning the reality of onsite shredding is that fewer than 50% of customers who schedule shredding onsite actually view even one piece of paper being shredded. In addition, those who do watch rarely watch the entire process. Employees and business owners alike have much too much to do or simply other things they'd rather be doing to watch paper being shredded.
